Both are Chrome extensions that put LinkedIn into your CRM, and both charge per seat. They are built for different buyers, though, and the difference shows up in three places: which CRM you use, how much contact data you need, and how conversations should reach the CRM. Disclosure: we make Outscore, a smaller tool in the same space; it appears once at the end, with its limits.

Which is cheaper, Hublead or Surfe?
Hublead is cheaper per seat: $32 against $39 on the entry plans billed yearly, $40 against $49 billed monthly. Surfe gives more contact data for the extra $7. Hublead Professional’s 50 credits buy about 50 emails or 6 phone numbers a month; Surfe Essential includes 150 emails and 50 mobile numbers. If you mostly log people you already talk to, the cheaper seat wins. If you look up emails and numbers every week, Surfe is the better deal.
| Seats, one year, yearly billing | Hublead Professional | Surfe Essential | Hublead Business | Surfe Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $384 | $468 | $768 | $948 |
| 3 | $1,152 | $1,404 | $2,304 | $2,844 |
| 5 | $1,920 | $2,340 | $3,840 | $4,740 |

Which one works with my CRM?
This decides it for many teams. Hublead’s pricing FAQ says “We only integrate with HubSpot for now, and we prefer to stick to that!” (the same page also shows a Salesforce section, so ask Hublead if that matters to you). Surfe lists HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Copper. If you are not on HubSpot, or might move, Surfe is the safer choice.
Which is better for logging LinkedIn conversations?
Hublead is the more explicit of the two. Professional logs a conversation when you click; Business logs messages as you view them; Scale keeps them synced live. Surfe’s HubSpot page says messages sync from LinkedIn in one click and claims more than 750,000 conversations synced to HubSpot last year (its own figure), but its pricing page does not say which plans include it. If conversation logging is the main reason you are buying, Hublead Business is the clearer fit; check Surfe’s current plan details before you buy for this.
Which should you pick?
| If you... | Pick |
|---|---|
| Use Salesforce, Pipedrive or Copper | Surfe |
| Need emails and phone numbers for people you have not met | Surfe |
| Search for new prospects inside the extension | Surfe |
| Live in HubSpot and want conversations logged without clicking | Hublead Business |
| Live in HubSpot and want the lowest per-seat price | Hublead Professional |
| Only need the people you talk to, and the conversations, in HubSpot | Possibly neither; see below |
What if you only need your own connections in HubSpot?
Both tools are priced for teams that also buy contact data. If your job is narrower, keeping the people you actually talk to on LinkedIn, and what you said, in HubSpot, Outscore (ours) does that for $79 a year, $10 a month, or $99 once per person, with no credits. It adds people from their profile or a conversation in one click, deduped by LinkedIn URL and fill-only, logs the conversation on the contact as notes your AI assistant can read or as LinkedIn-message activities, shows on each profile whether the person is already in HubSpot, and tracks your acceptance and reply rates for free. It works with HubSpot’s free CRM. It does not find emails or numbers for strangers, has no people search and no Sales Navigator bulk export, and today syncs natively to HubSpot only (CSV for the rest). If you need those, choose between Hublead and Surfe above.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Hublead and Surfe?
Hublead is a LinkedIn-to-HubSpot sync: it adds LinkedIn contacts and conversations to HubSpot and nothing else. Surfe is a broader prospecting tool that syncs LinkedIn to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Copper and leans on contact enrichment and people search. Pick Hublead if you live in HubSpot and mainly want conversations logged; pick Surfe if you need another CRM or more contact data.
Is Hublead cheaper than Surfe?
At list price, yes. Hublead Professional is $32 per seat per month billed yearly ($40 monthly); Surfe Essential is $39 billed yearly ($49 monthly). For 5 seats on yearly billing that is $1,920 against $2,340 a year. Surfe includes more contact data at that price: 150 emails and 50 mobile numbers a month, against Hublead's 50 credits (an email costs 1 credit, a phone number 8). Prices checked on both pricing pages on October 18, 2026.
Does Hublead work with Salesforce like Surfe does?
Hublead's pricing FAQ says it integrates with HubSpot only, although the same page shows a Salesforce section, so confirm with Hublead if Salesforce matters. Surfe lists HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Copper.
Which is better for syncing LinkedIn messages to HubSpot?
Hublead spells it out by plan: one-click message sync on Professional, messages logged when you view them on Business, and live sync on Scale. Surfe says you can sync messages from LinkedIn to HubSpot in one click, but its pricing page does not break message sync out by plan. If automatic message logging is the reason you are buying, Hublead Business is the clearer fit.
Do Hublead and Surfe have free plans?
Both do. Hublead Starter is free with no user limit and shows the HubSpot contact and company behind a LinkedIn profile. Surfe Free includes 20 emails and 5 mobile numbers a month, and adding to the CRM is limited to 1 contact a day.
Is there a cheaper option than both for getting my own connections into HubSpot?
If you only need the people you actually talk to on LinkedIn, and the conversations, in HubSpot, Outscore does that for $79 a year, $10 a month, or $99 once per person, with no credits. It adds people from their profile or a conversation in one click, deduped by LinkedIn URL, and logs conversations as notes your AI assistant can read. It does not find contact data for strangers, so it is not a replacement for Surfe's enrichment.
